  1. Potong-potong kecil daging bebek/ mentok/ ayam kampung. Cuci bersih. Beri perasan air jeruk nipis. Diamkan sebentar. Cuci bersih lagi. Sisihkan dalam wajan besar bersama air dan larutan air asam jawa. (airnya harus penuh sampai terendam dagingnya)
  2. Haluskan bumbu.
  3. Masukan bumbu yang dihaluskan bersama sisa bahan ke dalam wajan yang berisi daging. Masak dengan api sedang hingga daging empuk dan air menyusut.
  4. Tambahkan garam dan kaldu bubuk. Sesekali diaduk agar bawahnya tidak gosong. Koreksi rasa.
  5. Goreng bawang merah sampai matang. Siram bawang goreng beserta minyaknya ke oblok
  6. Masak hingga daging empuk. (Note : Kalau masih keras dagingnya bisa ditambahkan secukupnya air panas. Masak lagi sampai daging empuk)
