- Sambil merebus jagung, siapkan bahan bumbu dan tumisan. Kemudian tumis dengan secukupnya minyak sayur, berturut2: bawang merah/putih sampai harum, lalu salam/sereh/lengkuas sampai layu, terakhir masukkan terasi dan cabe hijau, tumis sebentar saja. Matikan api.
- Masukkan bumbu tumisan ke dalam panci rebusan. Aduk rata. Check bila jagung sudah setengah mata, masukkan sayur2an yang lain: wortel, labu, kacang panjang.
- Beri garam dan 1 sdt gula pasir. Test rasa. Kemudian tuang santan sedikit2 sambil kuah diaduk agar tidak pecah. Test/koreksi rasa kembali bila perlu. Setelah mendidih dan sayuran empuk, matikan kompor. Sayur lodeh siap dinikmati, digado tanpa rasa eneg ;)
